	"NATURE...ABSTRACTED" Weekend Art Retreat Creatives, equestrians, adventure seekers, México lovers...this retreat isn’t just about art. This 4-day weekend is a soul-fueled, relaxing, unplugged experience at a remote 2,800-acre guest horse ranch (about 1½ hours south of the Tecate border - near Valle de Guadalupe wine country). Embracing spontaneity and intuition, we’ll be creating abstract seaside scenes that are more about feeling than realism. Whether tranquil pastels or vibrant palettes are your jam, you’ll build your abstract painting with layers of color, texture and movement. 	‘EXPRESSIONS IN THE ABSTRACT’ EXHIBIT Even as a lifelong beach lover, I love the freedom and openness of the desert. The first time I went to Borrego Springs, on a day hike in Anza-Borrego State Park years ago, I fell in love with the quirky, quaint gem in the middle of nowhere. It’s like going back in time...until you walk into the Borrego Art Institute. This beautiful, midcentury modern delight in the heart of town is filled with inspiration and world class art exhibits, not what you’d expect in a sleepy desert town. Join me, along with the other two invited artists, Antonio Escalante and Robert Wright, for a stunning exhibit celebrating three styles of modern abstract art. Opening Reception: Saturday, November 9 \| 5 - 7 p.m. Exhibit: Nov 9 – Dec 8 during business hours Borrego Art Institute 665 Palm Canyon Drive Borrego Springs, CA
	'TIME COLLECTION' EXHIBIT As the September Guest Artist at Sandstone Gallery in Laguna Beach, a curated selection of my 2024 ‘Time Collection’ will be hanging in the ‘Skylight Room’, a beautiful space located in the center of the gallery. This collection is such a delight to see in person, as each piece has many thoughtfully placed layers of fluid acrylics on raw canvas...most works with embroidery stitching for extra texture and interest. The Opening Reception coincides with the city-wide monthly Art Walk, so you can make an ‘art date night’ of it in beautiful Laguna!
