What do you do when you are an artist and your husband is a chef and wine instructor? Blend art and wine, with delicious food, and let the fun begin! Palette to Palate is our way of sharing our passions and giving you the chance to explore them in a relaxed and fun setting. Each 3½-hour experience will include basic art and wine instruction, with hands-on art exploration and wine tasting. This is not your typical “art & wine night” where you paint a specific piece of art while drinking wine. Our goal is to provide a creative experience that involves gathering in the intimate atmosphere of our backyard and cozy art studio. We feel that art, wine and food have a common thread of connecting and bringing people together. This night of creating, sipping, and sharing knowledge will do just that.
First things first...
Palette – a flat surface used by a painter for holding and mixing colors; the range of colors used by the artist.
Palate – a person's appreciation of taste and flavor; a sense of taste.
So, we will play and create with our PALETTES in the art studio...in-between exploring our PALATES with 4-5 wines from the region you choose (below) and discovering simple, classic food pairings for each wine.
Wine regions & examples of wine to explore:
Spain — Tempranillo, Garnacha, Albariño, Cava
France — Pinot Noir, Syrah, Sancerre, Semillon, Riesling
